After reading over the position specifics and the mission statement for the university, I believe I am the most successful candidate for this position. After spending four years shadowing a elementary level art instructor throughout my high school career and further developing these passions through shadowing assignments in my college career I chose to teach professionally. My love of teaching, and my experience in both education and printmaking will continue to add to the success of the department.

Achieving both bachelor degrees in education and printmaking, I continued my education by completing my masters in art education. Working right out of college at my Alma mater teaching art specific core courses such as 2-D design, 3-D design, drawing, and color theory, I was responsible for drafting lessons and lecturing in each subject area and discipline. Also while in this position, I worked as a faculty advisor for both the art club and printmaking club. Holding this position for five years, I now hope to use my experience and attributes to fill your position of studio art instructor.
